As a Virgo Rising with a Virgo Stellium, details are my oxygen. If you have a completed piece of writing and you need a meticulous (read: neurotic) pair of eyes on it, this is for you. I’ll look at grammar as well as clarity and help identify and establish your writer’s voice.
I’ll read your work line by line and offer edits and suggestions.
We’ll follow up with a 1-hour call.

This service is for projects with a completed (more or less) rough draft. It could be a sample chapter that is going to go into your book proposal or the first draft of your manuscript that you’re looking to edit.
When you’re at the stage of your manuscript where you’re wondering — Is the chapter cohesive? Are my characters developed? Does the plot have holes? Does my message translate? — it’s immensely helpful to be able to collaborate with a fellow writer and thought partner.
I’ll read your manuscript and provide feedback and prompts so that you become clearer on your work.
We’ll follow up with a 1-hour call.

Writing my book proposal felt harder than writing my actual book. In a proposal, you’re writing about what you’re going to write about, trying to convince an agent or publisher why what you’re writing about is important, writing sample chapters, and backing it all up with market research. It’s effectively a literary business plan.
My book proposal was met with a lot of interest from literary agents and I signed with someone I absolutely love working with. A successful book proposal is a critical step in your journey towards being traditionally published.
This service will be tailored to your needs and the length of time we’ll work together will depend on how far along you are with your book proposal. If you have a completed book proposal, I can simply provide one round of editing feedback. If you don’t know where to start, I can work with you page by page, section by section.
By the end of our work together, you will have a completed draft of your book proposal, an understanding of where your book fits in the marketplace, a draft of a sample chapter, and support in querying an agent.
I’ll provide a timeline (typically 3+ months) and pricing based on how developed your proposal is.

Although the actual act of writing — of putting words to paper or screen — is often done on your own, nobody writes alone. Whether you have the seed of a story or a completed draft, I will partner with you on honing your specific writing ritual and practice, keeping you both inspired and accountable.
This service will include regular meetings, editorial feedback, creative support, writing assignments, and industry guidance.
I’ll provide a timeline (typically 3+ months) and pricing based on the specific scope of your project.

It’s no small feat to query agents and survive query trenches and circumvent slush piles. In addition to developing and editing your foundational query letter, I will help you develop a system of researching, organizing, and managing your queries. I will also reach out to my personal network in the publishing world, comprised of agents, editors, and authors for any specific leads, contacts, or intel.
This service will be offered as a series of hour-long sessions and will include weekly email check-ins, questions, and emotional support.
